AccessibleEU is the European Resource Centre on accessibility, a key initiative under the European Commission. In this session AccessibleEU aims to highlight the intersection of accessible technologies, emergency preparedness, and the European Accessibility Act.
This forum will focus on how the European Accessibility Act enables innovative accessible technologies to deliver more equitable crisis response. Topics addressed will include among others, accessibility in 112 calls, universal design in public alert systems and evacuation technologies, as well as good practices in accessibility training for first responders and emergency management organisations (EMO) and departments.
