International Disability Alliance
About
The International Disability Alliance (IDA) is a global alliance representing more than 1,100 organizations of and for persons with disabilities and their families, across eight global and six regional networks. IDA works to advance and protect the human rights of persons with disabilities by promoting the effective implementation of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (CRPD) and ensuring disability inclusion across international human rights and sustainable development agendas.
IDA plays a leading role within the United Nations system, supporting organizations of persons with disabilities (DPOs) to engage meaningfully in UN processes, influence global policy, and strengthen advocacy at national, regional, and international levels. Through its collective voice and partnerships, IDA works to drive systemic change, accountability, and the full participation of persons with disabilities in decision-making processes that affect their lives.
