Peek Vision
About
Peek Vision is a not-for-profit social enterprise, wholly owned by a charitable foundation, dedicated to vision and eye health for all. Peek’s software and data intelligence platform is used by NGOs, eye hospitals and governments in 13 countries across Africa and Asia to strengthen eye health systems and service delivery.
90% of people with blindness or vision loss live in low-resource settings, where lack of awareness, shortages of eye health specialists, barriers to access and limited data all hinder efforts to reach those most in need.
Peek enables eye health services to screen more people for vision problems, improve attendance at follow-up appointments, and reduce costs to make eye care more accessible and equitable.
Non-specialists can conduct vision screening in communities and schools using the clinically-validated Peek app, and refer those identified with an eye health issue to further care. Real-time programme data for service managers highlights who is left behind so providers can target barriers to care and improve attendance, ensuring people receive timely treatment that might otherwise be out of reach.
From 2018-2025, programmes using Peek screened more than 16 million people and connected 1.6 million people to care.
The software also powers rapid assessments to provide robust data on adult and child eye health needs, so programmes can improve planning and advocate for funding.
