About

Oír para Crecer is a Peruvian non-profit organization committed to expanding equitable access to ear and hearing care for children, adolescents, and adults living in underserved and remote areas of Peru. Founded in 2019, the organization addresses critical gaps in early detection, diagnosis, and rehabilitation of hearing loss through a comprehensive, community-centered model.

Oír para Crecer provides large-scale neonatal and school-based hearing screening, audiological diagnostics, and socially priced hearing aid fitting, supported by a growing network of local partners in seven regions of the country. The organization also operates a 3D-printed earmold laboratory and implements innovative tele-audiology and remote hearing aid calibration services, enabling continuity of care for users in geographically isolated settings.

Through collaboration with regional health authorities, educational institutions, and international partners, Oír para Crecer strengthens local capacity by providing equipment, clinical training, and technical supervision. The organization has conducted over 101,000 hearing screenings and fitted more than 2,500 hearing aids, contributing to earlier identification of hearing loss and improved long-term communication outcomes.

By combining technology, capacity-building, and person-centered care, Oír para Crecer works to reduce inequalities in access to hearing health services and to empower families and communities toward inclusive, sustainable hearing care solutions.
