Hanoi Association of People with Disabilities (DP Hanoi)
About
The Hanoi Association of People with Disabilities (DP Hanoi) is the largest representative Organisation of Persons with Disabilities (OPD) in the capital, with more than 17,500 members across a wide network of grassroots chapters in all districts and communes. DP Hanoi works to promote the rights, participation, and leadership of persons with disabilities—especially women, youth, and structurally marginalised groups—through inclusive capacity building, accessible information, community support, and policy advocacy.
The organisation collaborates closely with government agencies, development partners, and international organisations to advance accessibility, digital inclusion, inclusive livelihood development, disability-inclusive disaster risk reduction (DRR), and climate resilience. DP Hanoi also implements a broad range of community-based initiatives, including training, awareness-raising, research cooperation, and the promotion of universal design and inclusive services.
DP Hanoi’s mission is to ensure that persons with disabilities are empowered, heard, and fully included in social, economic, and community life in Hanoi and beyond.
