The Jenga Hub
About
Jenga Hub is a Tanzanian nonprofit on a mission to reimagine education, especially for children who are too often left behind. We believe learning should be engaging, inclusive and inventive. We partner with schools, teachers, communities and technology to create memorable learning experiences that deliver improved outcomes in foundational literacy and numeracy, digital fluency, and creative problem‑solving.
At the heart of our work is a conviction: equity is not an add‑on, it’s the design principle. Whether it’s a rural primary school without reliable internet or a classroom where a deaf child is physically present but educationally excluded, we start there. Through our school‑based clubs, teacher training networks, inclusive education initiatives and specially‑designed tools, we ensure no child is invisible.
One of our flagship innovations is the Kalimani App. Developed with the deaf community in Tanzania in partnership with educators and technologists, Kalimani translates curriculum content into Tanzanian Sign Language (TSL) by using an AI‑powered sign‑language avatar—making the classroom accessible for hearing‑impaired learners. This tool represents what we call “tech with soul”, built not simply for access, but for dignity, belonging, and agency.
