Billion Strong – Delivering Real Impact for Disability Inclusion Billion Strong is a global identity, convening, and community-driven organization created by and for people with disabilities. Our mission is to bring the world’s more than 1.7 billion people with disabilities together—to be visible, connected, and powerful in shaping the systems that affect our lives. Billion Strong exists to move disability inclusion beyond statements and symbolism and into accountability, action, and shared leadership. We center lived experience, cross-disability solidarity, and global perspectives—ensuring that disability conversations are not limited to Western countries or narrow viewpoints. Through research initiatives such as the Disability Org Inclusion Index, Billion Strong examines how disability organizations, employers, and institutions include people with disabilities within their own leadership, workforce, services, convenings, and digital spaces. This work is designed to strengthen the disability ecosystem from within by highlighting best practices, identifying gaps, and raising expectations—together. Billion Strong is also becoming a global publishing and learning platform for disability voices. We create space for people with disabilities to share lived experience, research, ideas, and innovation across borders and cultures. Our platform supports community-led dialogue, peer learning, and cross-disability collaboration—without duplicating the work of others. In addition, Billion Strong offers education, training, consulting, and social media support to help disability organizations, DPOs, employers, and partners build meaningful inclusion—digitally, physically, and culturally. We work alongside governments, corporations, and institutions willing to listen and learn, while ensuring that the disability community guides the conversation. At its core, Billion Strong believes that people with disabilities are the experts in our own lives. Inclusion must be lived internally, not just advocated externally. By bringing the disability community together—and inviting partners to meet us there—we aim to help the world move from fragmented efforts to collective impact.
